If you work in a driving agency because you are seeking driver jobs or driver recruitment, then you will be interested to know that police who are in an unmarked HGV have spotted 700 offenses. If you work warehouse jobs or if you want to hire industrial workers, then you will know what a huge deal this is. Eight forces have travelled the routes that span between London and Leeds, and they have been searching for any instances of unsafe driving. They stopped over 663 vehicles and they managed to uncover a total of 691 offenses as well. The main one happened to be people not wearing a seatbelt. It was found that 239 people were caught without a belt at all and that there were 73 in the region of South Yorkshire alone. You also had 181 people who were found using their mobile phone and that 44 drivers were not actually in control of their vehicle. They were also driving without due care and attention. Some of the penalties came down to simple words of advice but you also had 14 court summons as well. Five arrests were also made. Of course, National Highways provide the unmarked cabs to forces all across the country and a lot of this comes down to Operation Tramline. The vehicles that were stopped included 204 private vehicles as well as 180 HGVs. They included one driver who was from Northamptonshire. He was stopped because the front side window was tinted, and it was only letting 11% of light through. Of course, the driver admitted that they do have to wind down the window so they can see at night, and this led to the police giving him a formal warning to sort the issue out as soon as possible or face further consequences.

If you are currently applying to jobs for industrial workers or if you are seeking warehouse jobs, then you may be interested to hear about the UK’s first electric mixer. If you work in driver jobs, for a driving agency or even in driver recruitment then you will know how beneficial this is for the sector. The UK’s first electric-ready mixer has now completed a three-month trial when it comes to commercial deliveries. Right now, commercial deliveries are being carried out across Birmingham and this marks a significant step when it comes to the path for zero construction. The e-mixer is being done in partnership with Renault Trucks and it is also being done with TVS Interfleet. This is the first of its kind to be able to work anywhere in the UK and there are no tailpipe emissions either. It has the same average capacity as a normal diesel vehicle, and it is expected to save up to 42 tonnes of CO2 every single year. The mixer is part of their strategy, and it is their goal to try and develop low-carbon logistics by offering some kind of decarbonised transport. Operating out of the company’s rail-fed plant in Birmingham it is safe to say that this is building on top of the extensive logistics network. This has over 60 rail connected sites up and down the UK. Ben Garner who is the head of the logistics team is said to be steering the company to success and they are also doing their bit to try and implement low CO2 transport. They are doing this with logistic solutions, and they are also launching the e-mixer. It’s great to see positive movements like this taking place right now.

If you work for a driver recruitment agency, a driving agency or if you are seeking driver jobs right now then you will be interested to know that Lawton Tubes have now welcomed their first truck from Volvo. This has helped to create more warehouse jobs for industrial workers. Lawton Tubes who are based in Coventry have adopted some new trucks from Volvo and they have been in operation for over a century. The trucks are being supplied by Rory Kelly who is the transport executive at Volvo. The new FM is going to join a fleet of 12 vehicles and this is going to be used to deliver copper tubing across the nation. This time around, it would seem that Volvo have put together a competitive package and this is especially the case when you look at pricing and performance. They are very excited to put the new FM through the paces. The Volvo tag axle is powered by a diesel engine and it has a peak torque as well. The truck comes with a globetrotter sleeper cab and it also has a control panel. The truck comes with some very iconic V-shaped LED headlights and these are great as they happen to adapt to the ambient light conditions of the road.

Safety is key at the end of the day and that is why the trucks come with lane departure warning systems and forward collision warnings. When you look at how beneficial this is to those who work in truck jobs, it's not hard to see what kind of a positive movement this is. The service is great and it is no surprise to see that this tech has been integrated when you look at how far things have come in the automotive industry.
