The company Interlink Scaffolding have worked to try and save time and energy by restricting their labour costs. They have done this after they commissioned a Mercedes Benz Aroc to try and deal with the bigger tasks that they are handling right now. The operator is known as being ISL and right now they are celebrating their 20th anniversary. They are based in Birtley, Tyne and Wear. The ENA has a steer axle and they have lifted the rear-steer axle. This means that it can now lift up to 9 tonnes and this is going to mean very positive benefits for the future. If you are seeing driver jobs through a driving agency or if you are seeking help with driver recruitment then you will know how much this is going to benefit industrial workers. It may even go on to benefit those who are seeking warehouse jobs which is a major benefit to say the least.

The M-Cab has a rest bunk and this is going to boast a full complement of advanced tech. Highlights of the new vehicle happen to include the revolutionary alternative to any of the normal conventional mirrors. On top of this, you also have the multimedia cockpit and this is essentially an upgraded version of the twin-screen dash. This comes with extra functionality as well as satellite navigation. The Arocs has been fitted with various features and it comes with integral stabilisers as well. This has been mounted with radio control and it is proving to be a good investment for the company so far. With them moving forward like this, it’s no surprise that the investments are paying off and that even more changes are set to be made in the future. Follow this story to find out more.

If you work in the sector of driver recruitment or if you are part of a driving agency and are seeking driver jobs then you will be interested to know that BIFA have now named Stephen Parker as being part of their organisation. If you are seeking warehouse jobs or if you are part of an industrial workers group and want to enter the industry then this is great news to say the least. Mr Parker happened to retire from his role as being the head of Customs UK at the DHL Global company. He has commenced their new role from the start of the year.

Robert Keen was the director general for BIFA and this was in the year 2014. At the end of the day he has done a lot for the company and he has also taken the help of the trade association. It might have been a turbulent time for the company but in light of the changes that have been made, it looks like things are finally starting to look up. Robert is not going to be leaving the company right now as he has agreed to work as their international relations manager. They are going to make sure that the transition is seamless and that the company are able to benefit from the changes in the biggest way possible. Robert may well have left behind a tremendous legacy and it looks like things are really looking up. Of course, only time will tell what the future holds but right now it would seem that the company are making progress in leaps and bounds, and that there are really positive things ahead. It's great to see that the company have finally named their new general as well.

DP World have come out to say that they have had their greenest year yet. If you work in the sector of driver recruitment, with a driving agency or if you are seeking driver jobs then you will know what fantastic news this is. If you are seeking warehouse jobs, or if you are seeking a position with industrial workers then this is also good news for you. DP World have managed to achieve a 55% reduction in carbon emissions and that this is the case from their fleet as well as their installations. DP World are one of the top providers when it comes to logistics and that they run two hubs currently. They have two ports at Southampton and they also have one at London Gateway. This gives a lot of access to freight rail terminals. They are continually trying to expand their logistics and they have a prime focus on the capital as well.

This news is a huge step forward for the company and it just goes to show how ambitious they are as well. HVO is a renewable biodiesel and it has been derived from a lot of sustainable sources. The company are always trying to do what they can to lower carbon emissions and they also want to try and reduce levels of nitrogen oxide. Carbon monoxide reduction is also a major focus for the company. DP World have estimated that the switch is going to save tons of carbon and that this is going to make a major difference. Only time will tell if this is going to have an impact on things but right now it looks like a lot is being done to try and support the environmental contributions that DP World have had to offer.

UK Leaders are Turning to MAN for their Fleets

If you work in the industry of driver recruitment or if you are working with industrial workers who are looking for some warehouse jobs then you will know what a big deal it is when changes are made in the transportation sector. UK leaders are now turning to MAN when sourcing their fleets and this is going to impact those who are with a driving agency as well as those who are seeking driver jobs. The 40 vehicles are going to support the corporate livery and they are going to mark a new movement for the company. They currently have 11 advanced laundry sites and these are located all across the world. They are going to be delivering a huge range of quality gear as well as ensuring that everyone has the equipment and gear they need to carry out their role. Phillip Martin has said that they want to offer a lot of customers top-of-the-line gear and to do this, they need to offer a great delivery service. They want to make things as safe as possible for the drivers and while doing this, they are putting a major focus on sustainability. The vehicles are going to be powered by the latest generation of highly-efficient vehicles and they are also going to have turbo engines too. This is going to consist of 8-speed automatic transmission and it is also going to have an award-winning and well-appointed MAN TGE cab. This is going to help ensure that the vehicles are the best that they can be and it will also help people to get the result they need out of their transport. Of course, the future is looking bright for the company and there are signs of even more good things to come as well.

XPO are a current pioneer when it comes to alternative power. If you work in the sector of driver recruitment or if you are signed up with a driving agency because you are seeking driver jobs then you will know how important this move is. It is even going to affect those who are seeking warehouse jobs as well as industrial workers. XPO are currently trying to move things forward with their French fleet and they are testing out the all-electric trucks that they have. They have now finalised the order for well over 65 of their electric trucks so far and they have also worked to deliver them in the fourth quarter. The company are said to be making around 25% of their deliveries with their electric vehicles and this is a big movement for them to say the least.

Right now it looks like XPO are fully committed to making sure that they make sustainable investments and that they do everything they can to help customers to reduce their carbon footprint. Of course, their supply chain operation is now bigger than ever and they also have one of the finest transport fleets in the EU. The company are very modern and they are always trying to push things forward. With a focus on efficiency it is safe to say that they are really committed to making sure that they do their bit for the environment. They are also trying to make sure that they make things easier for their customers as well. They do this by providing various options when it comes to their fleet and they are also continually trying to expand the electronic vehicles that they have. Either way, this sustainable movement is great to say the least.

The customers' supply chains will be more robust due to introduction of a new intermodal train service connecting DP World's container terminals in London Gateway and Southampton. This service will also enable the customers to switch volumes between the two UK locations quickly and easily.

The DP World service, which sailed for the first time during the past weekend, is now slated to run every Saturday and will transport cargo such as fresh produce, drinks, and consumer items in less than five hours. The railway eliminates the need for as many as 120 tractor-trailers to make the same trip each week, reducing carbon emissions by up to 80%.

DP World intends to speed up the train by increasing its frequency the following year. Together with other recent and ongoing improvements in rail connection at both ports, this will reduce highway congestion, resulting in the removal of a total of 300,000 trucks from the roads of the United Kingdom annually.

According to John Trenchard, who serves as the UK Commercial and Supply Chain Director for DP World, the company is unique in providing clients with a choice of deep-water entrance and departure locations to and from the UK. Our clients will have additional freedom and choice due to this new train service since it will make it even simpler and quicker for them to swap volumes quickly and simply between the two sites.

"As a result of the turmoil of recent years, transport companies and cargo owners are exploring means of increasing capacity, ensuring reliability, and fostering expansion. Trenchard said, "We are supplying it, which enables our clients to transport products easily and effectively in and out of the UK and throughout their supply chains."

DP World, which manages ports, terminals, and businesses related to logistics on six continents, runs the most advanced logistics hubs in the United Kingdom at London Gateway and Southampton. These are two deep-water ports with access to freight rail terminals and a rapidly expanding logistics park on the capital's outskirts. They carried a record volume of cargo between them in the first half of the year, with a combined total of 1.93 million TEU moving through the supply chain.

The beginning of building on the new fourth berth at London Gateway, which will cost £350 million and open in 2024, was announced by DP World a month ago. This berth will increase capacity by a third when it finally opens its doors. The building project is now responsible for the maintenance of 1,000 jobs, and after it is finished in five years, the port-centric logistics park will employ an additional 12,000 individuals.

The corporation also plans to invest an additional one billion pounds in the UK over the upcoming decade.

Nusteel Structures, a company specializing in bridges and gantries, is operating its most significant and potent truck. It is the company's first truck to sport the three-pointed star of Mercedes-Benz.

The powerful 6x4 Arocs 3363 tractor unit was sold to the firm in Kent by local Dealer Sparshatt Truck & Van. It is plated for Special Types operating at up to 150 tonnes GCW and was supplied to the company by Sparshatt.

It utilizes a range-topping 460 kW (625 horsepower), 15.6-litre in-line six-cylinder engine and has a flat-floored BigSpace cab that is completed in a sophisticated manner with colour-coded bumpers and a roof-mounted Kelsa light bar. In addition, it has a flat floor. SB Components of Wisbech installed infills for the chassis catwalk.

Nusteel Structures was founded in 1954 and has since become an industry leader in supplying steel bridges, gantries, and complicated structures to the construction sector in the United Kingdom. In addition to balconies, steel moulds, props, and walers, this company offers a full service that includes the design, construction, and installation of additional items.

The Arocs handles countrywide deliveries to sites of sections up to 57 meters in length. It operates out of the company's head office and manufacturing facilities in Lympne, which are located in Hythe.

In addition, Nusteel Structures utilizes a pair of tractor units rated at 80 tons each that a different company produced. However, as the Transport Manager and driver, Iain Bates, explained: "Over the years, the bridges and gantries that we construct have steadily gotten larger and substantially more durable, and as a result, much heavier." We'd reached the point where we required the extra capabilities of an uprated truck, and it was time to make the switch.

The robust Arocs was explicitly developed for use in applications connected to construction, making it an excellent choice for the position's requirements. The renowned Turbo Retarder Clutch was installed in Nusteel's truck. This clutch is designed to cooperate with the Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated manual transmission and takes the place of the conventional manual gearbox and torque converter clutch combination.

The Turbo Clutch can manage and provide around 3,000 Nm of torque, which is substantially more than a torque converter can provide. It was designed to be wear-free and fuel-efficient. In addition, it has a highly effective integrated retarder built right in, which is a vital safety element in and of itself.

Nusteel also communicated with the regional
representatives of two other manufacturers; however, one of these manufacturers was unable to provide a product that was suitable for use, and the other manufacturer was unable to match the competitively priced acquisition and maintenance package that the Mercedes-Benz Dealer offered, nor could it commit to delivering its vehicle within the same timeframe.

Doug Newsholme, a colleague of Iain Bates's at Nusteel Structures and a transport manager and driver, has been with the company for 44 years and is quite pleased with his brand-new Mercedes-Benz. "We've run Swedish-made units in the past, but this is probably the greatest truck we've ever had," he exclaimed. "We've had trucks produced in other countries, but this one is the best."
"In terms of overall quality, the Arocs marks a significant advancement. The cab is a beautiful place to be since it is nicely outfitted and has a comfortable seat and a driving position that you can adjust to suit your needs. It's also quieter than I anticipated, which is a pleasant surprise.

He continued, saying, "Up until now, I've only ever driven with manual gears, but the way the automatic shift works in conjunction with the turbo clutch is outstanding." It is simple to get going when there is a weight on board; regardless of the terrain, traction is never a problem. When in Heavy mode, the vehicle feels like a train and behaves more like one. It recently pushed 100 tons up Wrotham Hill, located near Tonbridge, at 20 miles per hour while in the eighth gear, and it did it without breaking a sweat, which is some going.
"When riding down slopes, the inherent retarder also pulls you back, which is reassuring and just what you need. The system fulfils all of the promises made to us and does so to an exceptional degree.

Janet Collins, the newly hired Truck Sales Executive of Sparshatt Truck & Van, made a speculative but extremely timely approach to Nusteel, establishing a business relationship between the two companies. After switching careers from selling luxury vehicle brands for her prior employer to exploring something new and exciting, she landed her first truck order for a 150-tonne tractor unit!

According to Doug Newsholme, Janet's service quality was outstanding throughout. "She kept us updated on the situation at all times, and we were pleasantly taken aback by how fast the truck came."

The Arocs are now being examined and serviced at the Ashford facility operated by Sparshatt Truck & Van as part of a Mercedes-Benz Complete Service Contract that will last for the next five years. Iain Bates continued, "The contract covers all of our repair and maintenance needs at fixed pricing that is inflation-proof, so it gives great peace of mind." It says volumes about the manufacturer's dedication to minimizing downtime for operators like ourselves that the quick, customer-focused backup we've received from Service Manager Matthew Wootten and his colleagues have also been first class.

Meachers Global Logistics has advanced in position on this year's Motor Transport Top 100, which is widely regarded as the most comprehensive ranking of the most significant third-party logistics companies in the UK.
Meachers moved up in the ranking of the biggest 100 firms by turnover to position 59 this year, moving up from position 81 the previous year, as a result of the company's most recent year seeing a turnover rise of 54.9%. The previous year, it moved from 83rd to 81st on the list.

The gauge of the road transportation sector in the United Kingdom is the Motor Transport Top 100. It ranks road haulage companies according to their turnover, increase in profit, growth in turnover, and return on sales to provide a benchmark for the operational performance of these companies.

Gary Whittle, Meachers' Commercial Director, said, "We are happy that Meachers has once again reached the ranks of The Motor Transport Top 100." It reflects the dedication and effort put out by every team member.

These past three years have been particularly challenging for the industry. The uncertainties around Brexit, a worldwide epidemic, and a national driver shortage have all contributed to the heightened instability in supply chains. As a company, we were forced to put in a lot of extra effort to adjust to the changing conditions and better assist our clients.

"The fact that our customers continue to contribute to our expansion is something for which we are thankful. Due to this, we could reinvest the money in our company and increase the size of our fleet and storage space. This guarantees that we will be able to continue providing them with the excellent level of service and support that they have come to expect from us.

Recovery World Ltd, a top recovery bodybuilder and rental business, has announced that it will add 20 new Isuzu 7.5-tonne recovery trucks to its countrywide rental fleet in 2022. This move will continue the long-term relationship that was established between the two companies in the year 2001.

This most recent order includes both day cab and crew cab Isuzu N75.190 E rigids that have been outfitted with a combination of RW35 Slidebed, Low Slider, and Twin Deck recovery bodies. These vehicles are primarily destined for use within the Recovery World rental fleet, where they will be responsible for making single or multiple-vehicle deliveries and collections.

In addition, Recovery World has placed an order for its first Isuzu F135.240 13.5-tonne recovery truck. This particular truck will be outfitted with an RW60 6-tonne steel Slidebed body, and it is anticipated that this particular vehicle will be added to the Recovery World fleet before the end of the year.

"When you buy an Isuzu, you always know what you will receive. "The ITUK customer CARE operation is simply amazing, ensuring that our vehicles function to their greatest potential at all times," stated Mac Engledew, director of Recovery World Ltd. "It's a terrific recovery truck specification, the countrywide dealer network backup is there when you need it, and the ITUK customer CARE operation is just outstanding."

Mac says, "With over 21 years of practical experience running Isuzus in our fleet, we truly appreciate the technical assistance that is offered to us by ITUK. Thank you so much doing so much for us!" Professionalism has been the hallmark of everyone's responses to our inquiries. Because we are an operator, our vehicles are on the road 24x7; therefore, we must have our truck fleet operating at maximum efficiency; this is where the Isuzu trucks, with their industry-leading payload and proven reliability, ultimately lead the field.

Recovery World Ltd is widely regarded as a leading provider of both brand-new and pre-owned recovery vehicles in the UK. The company's headquarters are located in Hertfordshire. During 150 vehicles are under the company's management on a nationwide scale, and throughout their 21-year partnership with Isuzu, they have driven nearly 300 Isuzu trucks.
The Recovery World Group has increased its fleet and vehicle type offering to include cars, vans, and commercial trucks with dropside and box bodies. This newest growth of the Recovery World fleet corresponds with the company's recent acquisition of B&T Vehicle Hire in Hoddesdon.

" The recovery market has been intrinsic to ITUK's existence since the company's first days in the UK. This has been the situation right from the beginning." Isuzu Truck UK's success in this highly competitive business may be primarily attributed to our partnerships with organizations such as Recovery World. According to Lee Tansley, the national fleet sales manager for Isuzu Truck (UK) Ltd., "Naturally, we are particularly thrilled to see the strength of this long partnership continuing today via the newest addition of these 21 new Isuzu recovery trucks into the RW fleet."

KC Construction have Their First Arocs

If you work in driver recruitment or if you are seeking work through a driving agency then you should be aware that driver jobs are now on the rise. So are warehouse jobs and a lot of this comes down to the fact that industrial workers are now trying to do what they can to jump onto a thriving industry. Of course, the Nuneaton-based company have two pre-owned Arocs and they bought them last year. They have now returned to Dealer Midlands to try and get a brand-new vehicle but from the same range. Unlike the two trucks that came before, it is important to know that the latest have actually come with a complement, which is advanced technology. Highlights happen to include the MirrorCam as well. This is the manufacturer's very own ground-breaking equipment. This is a replacement for conventional mirrors and it has a twin tablet style screen as well. All three of the cars have ClassicSpace cabs but at the end of the day they also have engine tunnels as well. The main thing to note is that the truck comes with the very highly rated 455HP version of the truck and that it has a six-cylinder powerplant as well. It also comes with two other engines to choose from, when getting your vehicle made. Of course, like the vehicles that came before, it is important to know that it comes with a roof-mounted bar and it also has its very own sun visor as well. The great thing about this is that it helps to support the tipping body. Of course, this is a revolutionary piece of tech and it just goes to show that manufacturers such as this are capable of achieving such great things when they put their minds to it.
