HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver based in Crawley, offering consistent weekday work with a clear pathway to permanent employment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established logistics operation, working with a modern and fuel-efficient fleet and delivering palletised goods on a regular route.

Role Overview:

• Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on scheduled routes
• Route: Crawley to Swadlincote
• Delivering mixed palletised goods
• Vehicles equipped with electric pallet trucks for ease of delivery
• Ensuring timely and professional service at all delivery points
• Completing vehicle checks and maintaining compliance with tachograph and CPC regulations

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 16:30pm – 21:30pm
• Approx. 5-hour shifts
• Overtime

Pay & Benefits:

• £18.00 per hour (initial 12-week temp period)
• Temp to Perm opportunity after 12 weeks
• Permanent salary: £37,450 per annum
• Overtime paid at 1.25x after 10 hours on weekdays
• Weekly pay during temp period

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience
• Full Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• TP99 endorsements accepted
• Good communication skills and strong reliability
