CLASS 1 AIRPORT DRIVER - LEVEL D CLEARANCE

Are you a HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver? Quicktemp is recruiting for a major ground handling and cargo logistics provider at Heathrow Airport. You’ll play a key role in keeping essential supply chains moving-handling airfreight such as e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, automotive parts and perishables. What you’ll be doing:

• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles in both airside and landside secure airport environments
• Transporting freight, containers, and ULDs between terminals, warehouses, and local hubs
• Handling a wide range of cargo, including time-critical, high-value and temperature-controlled goods
• Completing trunk runs from Heathrow to depots in Manchester, Newcastle and Scotland
• Supporting warehouse and ramp teams to keep tight schedules on track
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and using a digital tachograph correctly
• Following strict aviation safety and security procedures at all times

Essential requirements:

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence (minimum 12 months held)
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card (all valid and in date)
• Level D airside clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Clean driving record (only non-serious points accepted – DVLA check required)
• Flexible availability for shift work, including nights and weekends
• Previous airport or logistics experience useful, but not essential

Compliance & vetting (must be completed to start Level D work):

• In-person document scanning of: driving licence (front & back), CPC, tachograph card, ADR card (if applicable), passport, DBS certificate
• 5-year referencing: we must verify your full work history from 2020 to present (no gaps over 28 days) with references or supporting documents
• DBS check: must be valid and issued within the last 26 weeks before Level D training

Pay & shifts:

• Weekly pay every Friday
• PAYE Holiday Pay
• Choice of PAYE or Umbrella payment
• Flexible shifts (days or nights, Monday to Sunday)
• Mostly single daily trunk runs with minimal overnight stays
