HGV CLASS 2 RECOVERY DRIVER

Are you a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver looking for regular, ongoing work in Croydon, Surrey?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established vehicle repair and recovery company based in Croydon. Due to continued demand, they are looking for a dependable Class 2 Recovery Driver to join their growing operation.

This role is ideal for a driver who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of customer service, and can represent the business to a high standard.

As a Class 2 Recovery Driver, your duties will include:

• Carrying out vehicle recovery and transportation for cars and light commercial vehicles
• Safely loading, securing, and unloading vehicles using recovery equipment
• Responding to roadside breakdowns, accident recoveries, and workshop movements
• Completing all required paperwork, job sheets, and daily vehicle checks accurately
• Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the recovery vehicle
• Liaising with customers, police, and roadside services when required
• Remaining calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Following all health & safety and road traffic regulations

Essential requirements:

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid Driver CPC
• A valid Digital Tachograph card
• A good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph rules
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• A reliable, punctual, and professional approach
• The ability to work independently and use initiative

Shift pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Minimum 10-hour shifts
