HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER

Are you a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver looking for regular, ongoing work in Sittingbourne, Kent?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established industrial services company based in the Medway area. Due to a consistent and growing workload, they are seeking a dependable Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join their busy transport and logistics operation.

This role offers regular local and regional work following the successful completion of a mandatory one-week paid site and driver induction.

The role:

• Local and regional deliveries and collections to customer sites
• Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate equipment
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks
• Ensuring full compliance with tachograph, transport, and health & safety regulations
• Accurately completing delivery notes and associated paperwork
• Representing both the client and agency professionally at all times

Essential requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no disqualifications)
• All licences in date
• Happy to work minimum 10-hour shifts
• Physically fit and able to lift loads over 20kg
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Training requirement:

• Drivers must complete one full week of site and driver induction
• Training includes:
• Site procedures
• Routes and vehicle operation
• Health & safety requirements
• Successful completion of training is required before ongoing shifts are allocated

The ideal candidate:

• Holds all valid HGV Class 2 qualifications
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Comfortable with manual handling and working in an industrial environment
• Available and willing to accept ongoing work once trained
